Court Order

A court order is a set of rules or demands that an individual must follow following a criminal or civil court proceeding. If a person fails to follow a court order, then that person may face additional consequences for their actions.

Example: After Suzy’s criminal trial, the judge ordered her to stay one thousand feet away from Mr. Keith or else she could be sentenced to one hundred and eighty days of jail time.
