Hung Jury

Hung Jury (Adjective) – the definition of a hung jury, also known as a deadlocked jury, is when members of a jury cannot agree on a verdict after extended deliberation.

  • The jury deliberated for three months and could not decide if the man was innocent or guilty of the charges filed against him; therefore, the judge declared a mistrial due to a hung jury.
